An opportunity to learn more about GeneMax will be held on Feb.,10, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Bradley 3 Ranch, Electra, Tx. Mark McCully from Certified Angus Beef will introduce the new GeneMax product , a DNA test currently under development that will help commercial users of registered Angus bulls better hit the high-quality beef target. GeneMax is being developed in cooperation with Angus Genetics Inc. (AGI), Pfizer Animal Genetics and Certified Angus Beef LLC (CAB), and will debut in the coming weeks.
The test will measure marbling and post weaning growth and is designed for high-percentage commercial Angus cattle.
