As you read this note the spring sale season is well underway. It looks to be an exciting time for Texas Angus breeders. Opportunity abounds for you to add cutting edge genetics to your herd from some of the top programs around the state.
TAA has a full slate of opportunities in the near future including the Vision of Value Campaign at Camp Cooley on April 26th, the Spring Spectacular Female Sale in Fredericksburg May 17th, our Texas Angus Field Day at Fluharty Farms June 21st. There will be many other events so please check the website and the newsletter calendar for upcoming educational and marketing opportunities that you will want to take advantage of.
Looking back for a brief moment to the events that took place in Fort Worth this past January, I would like to congratulate and thank all those who made the Best of the West bull sale, STARS of Texas female sale, seminars, meetings, and the banquet such a great success. It was truly a team effort. Plans are already underway for next year!
I extend special congratulations to Murl and Lucian Richardson for winning the “TAA Hall of Fame” award this year. It is a well deserved honor. Having served with Murl for quite a few years on the TAA board, I have found him to be true gentleman and a man of honor while possessing great talent and abilities that he is willing to use to serve others.
